Early registration deadline approaching for Max's breathing workshops

Just a reminder, the $10 discount period for Max's breathing workshops expires on Dec. 1. This is the last day to sign up for his workshops at $50/class. After Dec. 1, cost will be $60/class.

These workshops [Jan. 23-24] will fill up quickly, so full payment is expected at the time you sign up.

For anyone who's taken my classes and resonates with the emphasis on the breath, you will not want to miss these workshops. More details below:

Friday, 6:00-8:00pm: Breathing, Chanting & Meditation
Max is known for his cathartic breathing events. This workshop is known for its healing, penetrating effect, leaving students feeling renewed and open. In our breath their is so much power to be harnessed and so much grace to be found. In this workshop, we will begin by integrating breathing exercises and gentle movement. This will build into a vinyasa flow class, then the second half of the class will focus on simple chants, unfolding into a meditation. (all levels)

Saturday, 10:45-12:45: Life In Balance
Develop grace, strength, and concentration with standing balance postures. Learn how the habitual practice of balance poses can increase your longevity by many years. This workshop will begin with a talk about internal and external balance. Then, after warming up we explore simple standing balance postures and transitions. This class is ideal for all levels, even those who think of themselves as "clumsy." These techniques are known to calm the mind and increase one’s patience and compassion toward others. (all levels)

Saturday, 3:00-5:00pm: Learn to Breathe, to Heal Yourself and Your Relationships
How does the way we breathe affect our stress level, quality of sleep, depression, and even our relationships? Breath penetrates, breath invigorates, and breath heals. Breathing exercises and gentle yoga will be sequenced to create profound release and calm. Other benefits may include increased energy and mental clarity. (all levels)

About Me

I owe my passion for yoga and its transformative nature to my teachers, namely Max Strom. I have been teaching since December, 2006. I teach an all-levels vinyasa flow class, which focuses on the breath as the key to change and healing. As my teacher, Max, says, we just add the poses to the breath. I have completed a 30-hour teacher training with Max in Kansas City and another 54-hour training with him in Greenville; a 230-hour, 9-month intensive with Max's students and owners of North Main Yoga studio, Brian and Liz Delaney; and a Yin Yoga teacher training with Shala Worsley from the Asheville Yoga Center. Most recently, I have begun studying Thai Yoga Massage privately with Asheville therapist Lia Pardy. In April, I will enroll in the Asheville School of Massage & Yoga to pursue my massage therapist license.
